You may have heard a rumour that we are relocating the gallery, hopefully to Suffolk.
Well, it's true......we are indeed moving after 18+ years on the Broadway.
Our thanks to all of you who have supported us over the years.
We will let you know where we are as soon as we get there.

January 2022 : having thought this website access was 'lost', a chance computer blip
has found it again.
Well, briefly, if you are interested, we have relocated in Suffolk, not so far from Aldeburgh, and are in the process of fitting out a gallery and studio.
We aim to have a few exhibitions in the year and it will also be available to rent at a reasonable cost. Either just the studio, studio and part gallery or the whole thing;
only a couple of miles from the wonderful shingle beach North of Aldeburgh.
There should also be some Community involvement and maybe a residency or two available. It's still in the planning
East Suffolk has a vibrant and varied arts Community, worth engaging with.

For those who may not know, our major artist and mentor over many years, Peter Smith, sadly died in December 2020, not so many months short of his 90th birthday.
His painting group in Leigh on sea have an exhibition presently showing in Leigh Community Centre with some of Peter's work included.

Now we are 'back in' with this site, more will follow in weeks to come.

ATELIER gallery was based in Leigh on sea, on the Essex coast, overlooking the Thames Estuary. We show contemporary works by some of the best artists locally, from Suffolk and from Cornwall. Post War furniture and lighting is also displayed.
MODERN BRITISH painting, prints and sculpture, especially the St Ives artists, are also a particular interest of the Gallery .
